Aquamarine and Beryl Multicolour Rondelle Bead Choker Necklace with Sterling Silver Lobster Clasp.
Aquamarine is part of the beryl crystal group which also includes Morganite crystals which are pink, purple-pink or peach. Aquamarine is usually associated with the colour blue ranging from pale to sea green. The inclusions of iron within the stone creates the natural yellow colour which is usually heat treated to remove and then the stone looks bluer.
Precious beryl was recognised as a powerful stone in ancient Mesopotamia, where it was believed to strengthen belief in the gods. In ancient Greece it was dipped into water and that water was drunk to remove kidney stones and bladder ailments.
