This beaded necklace features a thunderbird pendant hand-carved by an indigenous Pueblo artisan from reconstituted turquoise. The Thunderbird is believed to rule the weather creating rain, wind, hail and snow and is important for agriculture and crops in a desert land. When the thunderbird is angry, it flashes lightning from its eyes and creates thunder with its massive wings.
On each side of the pendant, Karen Hill Tribe Fine Silver rondelle beads and leaf motif are featured and finished with a Sterling Silver Clasp. Beaded necklace design hand-strung in Australia using ethically sourced fair-trade African Turquoise heishi beads and Hematite heishi Beads.
Note- Each Thunderbird necklace is slightly differently beaded and each one is unique. You will receive the necklace shown in the product shot, not the one on the model. Model shot is to show how necklace sits when wearing.
Pendant size is approximately 25mm across wing span.
Necklace is 48cm long.
